I, as much as anyone, thoroughly enjoys laying in bed all day long with nothing to do. I have to say though, I do not enjoy laying in bed for three days more miserable than I've been in a long time, having only the energy to barely lean over and drink a sip of water. I lost my job at the Real Estate place, I got laid off yesterday. It's ok though, I was getting very frustrated there. But, I did get a call from Barnes & Noble and I have an interview on monday, so hopefully I get the job. I've been watching America's Next Top Model for four hours, and there's three episodes left, and I will watch them. It's so terrible, I want to stop and I can't. Damn you cable tv!!!

Birthday girl!

For those of you who don't know, my birthday is in approximately four days. That's right, four days until Alison can legally drink. So for those of you who would like to celebrate this beautiful day with me, here are a few tenative plans...
Thursday at midnight I will be going to 80's night at the Drink Ultralounge. Here I will proceed to drink, dance and be merry.
Friday after dinner with my parents I believe I will be going to the Monarchs Club, which is a bar on the westside, it used to be a speakeasy or juice joint. Which is the bee's knee's! Here, I will hopefully be drinking bathtub gin, moonshine, hooch or the hair of the dog and saying things like, "let's twenty three skidoo" or boy is he the "cat's meow" or even "ah applesauce! I sure was splifflicated when that oliver twist spooned me but I said sorry I'll take a check, I've got a daddy who says don't take any wooden nickels. Now you're on the trolley!"
After that it'll probably be off to mulligan's.
Saturday night will tentatively be a party at my house.
So come and celebrate, bring me gifts, money, love, sex, rock and roll, or just bring yourself. Either way I will probably be incoherent and stumbling. Because I took the whole damn weekend off of work just to get drunk with my fellow man.

By the way, I quit Salvation Army, and am now working at a beautiful wonderful part time job. Which sucks in a way because I really need a second part time job. But for now, things are beautiful and wonderful at my job (until I run out of money). I am an office manager at Blue Rock Real Estate (which I worked at before about a year ago). I am so happy with my job la da da da da.
p.s. Perhaps Salvation Army wanted to fire me because I did things like this....

Another year gone by

Well, New years has come and gone and it really just felt like any other night. I'm glad 2006 is over, it was a hard year, an inconclusive year, with a lot of bad mixed with some exceptional good and all in all it sucked. So 2007 perhaps you will show me something better than 2006, maybe this year will be the year I actually get my shit in gear and actually accomplish something worthwhile. Oh 2007 what do you have in store for me?

And music? Fancy you should ask that, of course there will be music. If you come a little early you will not only get to see Mavericks and Monarchs, but you will see the Deadalives as well. (Hopefully the bands show up, if not it will be a 24 hour monster mash-a-thon, it may have to be anyway).

So I went to the gynecologist yesterday. Good news is things are all well and good in the vagina department meaning I can have sex to my hearts content. The throatal region on the other hand is not doing so hot apparently. The doctor man was feelin up my neck when he said he noticed much swelling in my thyroid gland, so I had to get blood work done and I'm going to have to get an ultrasound on my neck/thryoidus region. But really upon him telling me all this all I really heard was "we're giving you and ultrasound on your neck because there is a baby in there". Throat. Baby.

So today I aqcuired two new roomates. They are of the guinea pig type. They are adorable little babies, only three weeks old so they fit really well in your hand. Their's a boy and a girl. (They can't breed for another six months, so in six months I'll find out if they're incestuous). The girl has a gray face and her name is Elvis. The boy has a brown patch over his eye and some gray on him and one brown and one blue eye and his name is Sir DIdymus. They are cute and adorable and I love them and Sir Didymus has already peed on Jerome once. That makes me giggle.

It seems like I have taken a long lapse from livejournal land. It's not that I'm ignoring it, I do read it when I do laundry at my parents house, I just haven't felt like updating I suppose.
So here's what's new...
I still work at Salvation Army, I am a keyholder there, my boss is a captian, and that makes my job sound like a video game. A video game that I dislike thoroughly on most occasions.
Pixi and I had a "lesbie friends day" where we ran errands together like good girlfriends.
Speaking of lesbians, I'm still quite happy with my boyfriend, Isaac. He makes me smile.
I'm not going to school this semester on account of me signing up to late, but mostly I'm taking a break so I can figure my shit out. I find there's no point in going to school if I'm currently not going for myself. It just makes me skip my classes and fail them because I just don't care currently. So right now I'm playing the fun "let's get my shit together and finally start figuring some things out so I can get a start on with my life" game.
I've become quite the hermit rarely leaving my house except to a. go to work b. get necessary supplies to stay at home like food and cigarettes and alcohol. c. to go to my boyfriends house. I do try and leave my house on saturday nights though and do entertaining things, like drinking at other peoples houses.
Feel free to call me though, I'm usually more that happy to come out of my shell.

Well, I suppose it's time for an update, what do you folks think?
First off, the 666 party was a success (thanks to all the lovely people who showed), up until I woke up at 7:30 in the morning vomiting and had to go to work. After about two hours of wanting to die at work, I went home because people love me. On my way home I felt the nausea in my stomach, grabbed my to go coffee mug and proceeded to vomit in it while driving. Thank you, I am talented.
My house smells really bad, partly because of the trash monster on the back porch and also because we haven't officially cleaned up from the party on account of us all having busy lives. Tonight will be a night of cleaning and de-stinkifying my humble abode.
I've been spending much of my time with Isaac because he makes me happy, but I do try and see friends too.
I'm getting a couch for my porch today, come and sit on it with me. It's yellow and ugly.
I'm also getting my window in my car fixed today, never again to be rolled down. While it's getting fixed I'll be playing with, dogs, parrots, goats and CHICKENS!!!! One of the ladies I work with, Kelly, has a husband, Tommy, who will be fixing my window for free. They have many animals and I'll squeal to my hearts content at them all. Particularly chickens, because I have a strange love affair with chickens.
Tomorrow I work 7:30am until 9pm. I hope I don't die. I plan on drinking afterwards because I have sunday off. But I will not drink vodka because as I learned for the millionth time on tuesday vodka and I do not get along, at all. Vodka makes me vomit in cups.

I went up north this weekend, it was fun. I saw the ex, I got drunk with my parents and Randy & Mindy (Dustin's parents who happen to be amazing people). Went up to Marquette to say bye to the brother-in-law before he's shipped off to war.
While in Marquette we drove over to Gwynn and two trecked it up to a rock quarry to find rocks. Because that's what my family does, we look for rocks. While wandering around I happen to look down at my pants and I see a little brown bug and I go "Hey Ash, this looks familiar what kind of bug is this" Whereupon she says "Ali, that's a tick!" I then scream and frantically brush it off. We then head into the restaurant and sit and I look at Ashley's arm and A TICK! Then there's another one three minutes later crawling up her arm. Then I stretch,a tick is on my tummy! We then run to the bathroom, strip and check ourselves for ticks. We see no more, I then go sit down at the table and look at my coat and the last one is on there! I have now acquired a new irrational fear. But don't worry, I'm not walking around full of ticks, there are none on me.
Sunday involved more two trecking some landscaping and driving home.

Anyway, other than that, things are pretty good, my house is really messy, I feel like I haven't been home in weeks when I really have been home just haven't slept in my home since thursday. I miss my bed, and I miss Pixi. Oh well, I'll eventually be home for more than two hours.

Season finale for House is on in ten minutes, I'm stoked!

Things, as shitty as they have been, really haven't been all too bad. Lets see, I got robbed last weekend. They broke into my house and my car and stole my tv, dvd player, car stereo, laptop and digital camera. This all happened on a saturday night while I was home alone sleeping. This seriously freaked me out. Sunday I got into a car accident and my car is not working now. But I went and picked out a new car yesterday and got a 2000 Ford Focus (black) its a hot car. Speaking of cars, somewhere in there I got hit by a car on my bike... a hit and run. Either way, things are ok regardless of the crap.

Today is my day off and it has been relaxing. I woke up at 9:30, laid in bed until 11. Went and got pancakes and read my book for awhile. Started working on an outline for my novel that I'm attempting to write and now I'm at my parents doing laundry. It is a good day off. Except Hazel got out of the house and I'm really worried.
